The 'Help with Fees' scheme gets a major overhaul on 27 November 2023. It enables those who cannot afford court and certain tribunal fees (probate fees also included!) to be exempted from payment or have the amount of the fee reduced. Some may benefit from applying for Help before the overhaul: others may benefit from waiting. An application for Help cannot be made before proceedings are started.
To start a case quickly or wait? I will endeavour to answer that one in my new free video coming up here shortly.
The Renters (Reform) Bill is due a second reading in the Commons today. But the abolition of section 21 no-fault possessions and the changes to the possession grounds which the Bill would introduce will have to wait some time for implementation. The government has announced that they will not be up and running until digital court improvements. If that is going to happen before the next general election then I am a banana (again).
